2024 Community Grant Recipient: Cullman Child Development Center

Livestock Foundation is thrilled to support 2024 Community Grant recipient Cullman Child Development Center’s Cullman Summer Series project.

The Cullman Child Development Center was established in 1992 in response to the need for quality, affordable childcare in the Sidney Tri-Town community. As a non-profit, independent childcare facility, the Cullman Center provides equal access to childcare services for all community members with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. Cullman Child Development Center strives to accommodate families’ needs, including those with children requiring more intensive care. In more recent years, The Cullman Center has launched the Cullman Summer Series, a collection of family-friendly events that celebrate Delaware County’s rich agricultural heritage and promote local initiatives. The 2024 edition of the series will feature two new events: Honeybee Day and Agriculture Day. Both events will offer educational exhibits and interactive experiences suitable for all ages. Learn more about all of the Summer Series events at Cullman Child Development Center’s Facebook page.

2024 Community Grant Recipient: Franklin Stage Company

Livestock Foundation is thrilled to support 2024 Community Grant recipient Franklin Stage Company's Painting of Chapel Hall Facade project.

Franklin Stage Companyʼs dual mission is to produce professional, admission-free theater that brings together audiences and artists to create community and celebrate the enduring power of stories; and to ensure the preservation of Chapel Hall, a 3-story 19th-century Greek revival building built in 1853 and the Company’s historic home, as both an architectural treasure and a center of community activity. The company was founded on the principle that great theater should be accessible to all, and free admission ensures that all are welcome, regardless of economic circumstance. They believe that theater strongly rooted in its community has a vital role to play in bridging its divisions. Franklin Stage Company will utilize their grant to paint the Southwest facade and entrance of their architecturally important and historic theater building. Franklin Stage Companyʼs Chapel Hall is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of Franklinʼs historic village district.

Franklin Stage Company's 2024 season begins on July 5 with Trouble in Mind, Alice Childress’s illuminating, moving, and surprisingly funny play set during rehearsals for a Broadway-bound play where harsh truths that spill out into the rehearsal room may cost the actors the work they so desperately need.

You can learn more about Trouble in Mind and the rest of their captivating season, which includes Calpulli Mexican Dance Company, Yolanda Bush and the Cool Water Collective, and An Iliad, and reserve tickets at franklinstagecompany.org.
