Season of Giving

We were deeply moved by the sincere joy and overwhelming support at our first annual Christkindlmarkt.

Livestock Foundation wants to thank every visitor whose smiling face graced us and the 25 local vendors who shared their handmade love with one and all.

We are especially grateful for the creativity, hard work, and generosity of our hosts and collaborators Saint James Church Lake Delaware, Paul and Jessica Moore, their family, and the amazing volunteers who made the magic happen.

As the holiday season approaches, we reflect on the strength of the community we serve and the local organizations working diligently to benefit our neighbors, family, and friends.

We are proud to provide support to the Bovina Fire Department, Bovina Public Library, Bovina United Presbyterian Church, Saint James Church Lake Delaware, Pure Catskills, Catskill Mountain Club, Catskill Forest Association, WIOX Radio, Catskills Agrarian Alliance, Kidskill Fund, and Heart of the Catskills Humane Society.

We look forward to sharing even more exciting programming with you in 2024 and wish everyone a warm and happy holiday season!

Matching donation to Bramley Mountain Fire Tower Project

The Bramley Mountain Fire Tower Project is working to return the historic fire tower to the summit of Bramley Mountain for the enjoyment of both local and visiting hikers. The Friends of Bramley Mountain Fire Tower have raised  90% of their $200,000 fundraising goal, with construction slated to begin in the spring of 2024.

To help raise the final 10% and to bring the project to the finish line, Livestock Foundation is proud to pledge a $5,000 matching donation to the effort.

We are overjoyed to play a small part in restoring the historic fire tower to the top of Bramley Mountain Trail, enhancing the natural beauty of our region, and returning a historical landmark and outdoor recreational resource to our community.

To join us in the effort to restore the Bramley Mountain Fire Tower, tax-deductible donations can be made to The Friends of Bramley Mountain Fire Tower at bramleymountainfiretower.org/support-the-project. All donations made between now and February 15, 2024, will be eligible for matching funds.

Livestock Foundation is thrilled to announce our new Community Grant Program!

The Community Grant provides project-based financial support to local organizations that share our goal to protect and promote the human, economic, and natural resources of Bovina, NY, and its surrounding communities. The grant program was created to inspire collaboration amongst local organizations in order to further our shared missions.

In our inaugural season two $5,000-10,000 grants will be awarded for qualifying projects submitted by a Delaware County, NY based registered 501(c)3 nonprofit or tax-exempt public charitable, religious, or municipal organization through our open-call process.

Applications are open until April 1, 2024 to ensure all interested organizations have ample time to prepare for this new opportunity.
