Livestock Foundation is thrilled to support 2024 Community Grant recipient Delaware County Historical Association's History Comes Alive! Summer & Fall Programs project.
The Delaware County Historical Association (DCHA) is a non-profit organization that collects, preserves, and presents the history, folklife, and traditions of Delaware County, New York. DCHA offers the restoration of historic structures; the collection, care, and exhibition of historic objects and archival materials; the documentation of living traditions, folk arts, social history, and vernacular architecture; and the production of exhibits, publications, and programs. “History Comes Alive!” Summer & Fall Programs is a series of educational events for the public taking place from May through October 2024, including “History Happening”, an educational program for 4th graders from local schools, “Making History in Delaware County” a history conference, the Delhi Civil War Reenactment “Clash in the Catskills”, lantern tours and "Enchanted Evening” at the Gideon Frisbee Historic House, and a series of historical exhibitions.
